Go Green was neither the lowest nor the highest bidder when I shopped for a builder who could successfully realize my Texas-French farmhouse vision.

I would like to share with you how thankful I am for choosing Go Green as my builder. Being a little nervous to build my first custom home, I had listened to friends talk about their challenges of building a home. I had just the opposite experience. I continue to receive compliments on my new home from friends and family.
After contacting customers from your referral list and seeing some of the homes you had built, I knew a quality home would be a given. Even though you had other projects going on, you made me feel like I was your most important priority. What impressed me the most was Jake’s prompt response to my initial emails and phone calls. He got me a realistic estimate right away and made me feel comfortable in knowing that it was possible for me to move forward in building my dream home. Jake and his brother Jered were always prompt to answer questions and concerns during construction and, they also met with me onsite during construction as well as video calls when work kept me away.
Go Green’s commitment to high quality craftsmanship, energy saving fixtures/materials and techniques have made my home as energy efficient as possible – my electric bill last month was $72.96! Unbelievable!

I tell people that when we met Jake for the first time, I asked him how he would handle it if I had a problem with the work done in our house… his response was, “we will make it right”. And truly, while we had very few issues, Jake and Jared made it right.
I’ve never worked with such a hands-on contractor. He was seen almost everyday at our home site monitoring the work being done making sure everything was up to the highest standard. He was very accessible and communicated almost daily which was one of the things I appreciated most.
People ask if we have any regrets with our home now that we have been living in it. We can honestly say we don’t regret anything. Because Jake was available to talk through and help us figure out along the way those things that you thought would work on paper, but when it came to functionality or aesthetics, we needed to adjust. Jake and Jared were excellent at calling our attention to those things as well as responding to our inquiries. As a result, we have a beautiful home that functions efficiently and meets our needs as a family.

Jake and Jared Gautreau and GoGreen Custom Homes built our home in The Ranches of Brushy Top.
Our experience was wonderful. Jake originally steered us to a Credit Union that was easy to work with during the loan and approval process. We were living over 3 hours away, checking on progress on the weekends, and Jake kept us up to date on all that was happening.
Jake offered suggestions as the construction progressed and we are so grateful for his input as our home is beautiful and just the design we wanted. Our Go Green home is excellent in quality and we were informed of choices during construction to allow us to make improvements and changes as necessary.
During construction, when we decided to make changes, Jake was patient and accommodating. After the final Certificate of Occupancy, Jake has continued to be extremely responsive and attentive to our requests. Jake’s responsiveness was one of the most important factors in choosing a builder for our “forever” home and one of the primary reasons we chose GoGreen. We have continued to hear this from his other clients as well. During the construction phase, Jake was on site, returned our calls and responded to emails timely.
We have recommended GoGreen to friends and other considering building and, if we ever build again, we would choose GoGreen Custom Homes and the Gautreau brothers.
